We are on the eve of another new year, 2014, and I have been spending a bit of time today reflecting. The old year is just about closed and put on the shelf as a mere memory. How blessed we are to have known the heaping measures of health, hope and happiness. A closer examination of the year would certainly show smaller measures of pain, fear and sadness. Our greatest portion has been God's continual faithfulness.
The opening song in the musical Rent ask, "How do you measure, measure a year?" Good question! This song has prompted me to ponder in previous years. I thought I would include it here perchance you too would consider how you measure your year!
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
